ST.ANTONYS PILGRIM CHURCH ACHINAKOM, NEAR KUMARAKOM The most gifted church in the name of st.Antony of Paduva came into being with the first holy mass by late Rev.Fr. Joseph Panjikaran ,the Vicar St. Mary’s Church Kudavechoor ,the mother church  on 18th September 1960 .Being a small chapel ,which could not accommodate the believers of the locality the parishners constructed some what a big  church in place of the chapel and the church was blessed by cardinal Rt. Rev. Dr. Joseph Parekkattil the Arch Bishop of Ernakulam Angamaly Arch –Diocese on 28th February 1965.The enormous increase in the worshippers of St. Antony of Paduva and blessings to the people there was felt need to renovate the church and a new church has been constructed in the same campus under the auspices of the vicar Rev.Fr. Antony Vazhakkala and consecrated the church on 12th March 2005 by Cardinal Varkey Vithayathil Major Arch Bishop Ernakulam Angamaly Arch –Diocese.
